Free workshops on making and working with digital images will start on Wednesday, 21 May 2008, 6:00 to 9:00 PM, at the Malak Telecentro (Shop 2, Malak Shopping Centre) and will be on every Wednesday at the Telecentro for five weeks (until 18 June). The workshop is part of a series exploring digital photography, image processing, postcard production, and online facilities for sharing digital images. Workshop facilitators will be Nic Borgese, a photographer, and Gloria Richards, a graphic designer.
The digital imaging workshops are in turn part of a longer series of workshops on digital and online creative technologies hosted by Darwin Community Arts (formerly Brown's Mart Community Arts) at the Malak Telecentro from April to September this year.
Digital Photography Workshop 1
The first of the digital photography workshops happened last night. Four women attended. We covered the introduction and housekeeping stuff including the mindset behind Connect, skill development and the Fringe.
Soon we got stuck into the photography stuff. I think everyone's got something out of it and enjoyed the practice we had. I'm trying to figure out how to upload the pdf notes from the workshop, hopefully I can post them soon.
